Cake Guide

Here you'll find helpful information, tips, and tricks about our cakes regarding transport, storage, and portioning 🎂❤️

+++ STORAGE +++

You can store your MERINGUE BUTTERCREAM CAKE for up to 2 days at room temperature or for up to 4 days in the refrigerator.

CAKES WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING (like Red Velvet) must always be kept in the refrigerator and will keep for up to 4 days in the refrigerator .

+++ CONSUMPTION RECOMMENDATION +++

Our products are manufactured without artificial preservatives. We therefore recommend consuming them as soon as possible to enjoy them at their best.

+++ TRANSPORT +++

Our cakes will be delivered to you in a box that will ensure safe transport. Please make sure the box remains level and on a stable surface during transit.

Transport by car

Please turn off the heating in the car as much as possible, especially in the area where the box is located.

Option 1:
Place the box on the floor of the passenger seat and slide the seat forward until the box is lightly (!) secured and cannot slide around.

Option 2:
A passenger holds the box securely in their lap . It's best to place an extra layer (jacket, blanket, etc.) between the lap and the box.

Public transport

We do NOT recommend this, as it does not guarantee consistently calm and level transport of the box.

+++ SERVING +++

Always let your chilled cake come to room temperature before serving.

MERINGUE BUTTERCREAM CAKE:
2-3 hours before

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING CAKE:
1 hour before

In the (unlikely) event that there are any leftovers, you can cut your cake into individual portions and freeze them. Tips on how to do this are below.

+++ SUNLIGHT AND HEAT +++

Please ensure at all times that your cake is never left in the sun and that there is no heat source nearby .

+++ CUTTING / PORTIONING +++

With these instructions, you'll portion cakes like a pro!

+++ FREEZING +++

Our cakes can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 months.

1. First, place the leftovers to be frozen in the refrigerator for several hours so that the buttercream hardens again.

2a. Then wrap each portion separately twice in cling film. Make sure there is enough space in the freezer so that the buttercream-covered pieces don't get squashed while freezing.

2b. Another option is to wrap the pieces only once and then store them in an airtight container in the freezer.

+++ THAWING +++

Take the desired portions from the freezer and let them thaw completely at room temperature before serving. The smaller the pieces, the faster it will thaw!
